I do not  think something like The Salem Witch Trials would be able to happen now in our day. People nowadays do not really believe in witches. People now a days get a fair hearing with evidence or proof. In the article " According to PBS , experts now believe that the symptoms were caused by ergot, a fungus that can taint rye grain crops, especially if the harvest season is humid."  The people at Salem didn't know what was happening to their children. Today, we got doctors, medical and psychology , who can immediately find what's wrong with a person. Then the article said, " For decades after the trial, descendants of the victims demanded justice and compensation for their pain; by the early 1700s, all but six of the accused had been exonerated of the crimes." When people calmed down, they noticed that they had been killing innocent people. People should not be quick to judge especially if someone's life is at stake. A lot has changed from then ...
Blog # 2 Yes census are important because it helps keep count of how many people are in the United States of America. I mean it dose matter in a way if they wanted a whole count of everyone for a reason. Also, it could not matter because you can't keep a certain  count of how many people are here. According to the article, " Preparations for the count already are complicated by a sea change in the census itself: For the first time, it will be conducted largely online instead of by mail." I think the people who don't have a computer or internet access wouldn't have to worries because the government should open up a free place where they can go to take the census. I would rather take it by mail since its more private and wouldn't be hacked. Plus, the  article says that "The census results also will determine which states will gain or lose seats in the House of Representatives and how those lines are drawn when redistricting begins in 2021.
