Hurricanes cause massive destruction. No one can do anything to stop a hurricane. People can help other people during a hurricane. People can get ready for hurricane.

According the article ''The Atlantic Ocean's hurricane season peaks from mid-August to late October and averages five to six hurricanes per year.''People need to be aware of hurricanes from August to late October. Since people can research when hurricanes are going to hit they can be prepared in advance.

Then the article said that "Ninety percent of all hurricanes deaths result from storm surges."People may not be aware of how dangerous storm surges are.It would not be the best idea to ride out a hurricane because of how dangerous the storm surges are.

People should be apprehensive in a hurricane. People should be aware by getting food and water ready. Also one thing is they should be ready to leave everything behind them.
