Indian student left alone for not staying with buddy or his group
Lukas Cavar a 19-year old Indiana University student who was left behind during a group expedition on Sept 17. He was all alone for 58 hours with no food or nor water. If only he would of stayed with his buddy this would of never happen in the first place.
According to the article website "https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/24/us/caving-indiana-university.html" it states that "What was supposed to be a fun adventure turned into a hellish 58 hours for Mr. Cavar, a 19-year-old Indiana University student who was left behind during a group expedition on Sept. 17 to Sullivan Cave near Bloomington, Ind." Caving is really dangerous and his teacher assigned everyone a "BUDDY" so just in case something would of happen, there was going to be two of them. He should of not left his buddy or his group at that point he should of stayed with them till the end of the cave and should of been more cautious about what he was doing.
Some resent study's show's that ''2,000,000: Estimated number of people who get lost caves annually, the majority of them on low risk expeditions or on guided cave tours". I feel like there should be a way were they cant get lost and be able to go by them self's or with anyone and not get lost.
More people should explore caves but should also learn more about the cave that there going to explore and no the bad places. People should take someone with them who knows about and has had some hands on experience.
