Is hacking a good thing or is it a bad thing
Hacking may help out or it can cost you 20 years of your life. Hacking, anyone can do it some people use it for bad like criminals. There are people who use hacking for good like the FBI. But most of the time the people who hack are bad criminals and only think of them selves and not people who they can affect.
In the articul ''http://theweek.com/articles/730439/have-almost-certainly-been-hacked''it reports that '' The recent data breach at Equifax, one of the three major credit reporting agencies, exposed the personal information of more than 145 million Americans, including Social Security numbers, driver's license data, birth dates, and addresses.'' I feel like you the company should inviste just a little bit more money into there software so it would at least be a little more harder for hackers to get information. Equifax would save more money if they did that because if all those people found out about that there information was hacked they all would sued and it would cost more the company to give out a lot of money then instead of using that money to prevent something like that to happen
Futher reading this artical it states that ''Poor security practices are partly to blame. Despite the overall rise in spending on cybersecurity, many companies neglect to keep their systems regularly updated and patched." Big company's like that should be smarter and update there computers or whatever they use or things like this wont happen. Further on this artical it stated "Equifax blamed a single employee for not installing a software update that would have prevented the breach. " equifax should had done something were it updates by its self.
All and all big company's should start to invist some money on there programs for they dont get hacked and something like equifax happen ever again.
