Respect. Respect is one of the most important  words used. Everyone can have respect but to get that respect you have to have respect other people. To get more respect you respect other people and that builds up your respect.

Respect is important because if you treat yourself with respect other people will respect you. For example, one way I show respect at home is by not talking back to my mother, Claudia .  Since I treat her with respect, she treats me with respect.

Other people who deserve respect are teachers. I can talk to teachers respectfully. When I get upset, I talk back. So, I need to remember to show respect by controlling my anger.

I chose the word respect for 2018 because respect is always needed. You got to respect no matter what if you want to be respected back. So, my goal in 2018 is to be respectful to people who respect me.
